Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites suitably qualified companies with a proven track record to participate in a tender process for the provision of specialist engineering maintenance support services of rolling stock sub-systems, or vehicles of a similar nature for both running and heavy maintenance on Toilets, HVAC, and Air Dryer systems across their fleets.
Scope of Works:
Iarnród Éireann have a requirement for the services of a suitably qualified company to provide specialist engineering support services to support IÉ in the servicing, running repair and heavy maintenance on rolling stock sub-systems on their On-Board Toilets and HVAC systems across their fleets. This contract will be broken down into 2 separate lots.
Lot 1: On-Board Toilet System Maintenance
The toilet systems contract involves the servicing, running repair and heavy maintenance on sub-assemblies within the toilet systems on both the ICR and 29000 fleets at Portlaoise and Drogheda Depots, as well as the repair and servicing of all toilet bowls from all other IÉ fleets.
The contract will require an on-site presence to supplement other maintenance activities as and when required, i.e., maintenance of levelling valves, air dryers etc., and IÉ will make available to the successful contractor suitable locations within both Drogheda and Portlaoise depots for the overhaul of the toilet modules.
Lot 2: Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning [HVAC] Systems Maintenance
The HVAC systems contract involves the overhaul [heavy maintenance] and running repairs of HVAC modules on the 8520, 22000, 29000 and MKIV fleets, in line with OEM specifications, and the contractor will be required to work to an overhaul schedule as agreed with IÉ.
IÉ’s full requirements are contained within a technical specification for each lot which will be issued to a shortlist of the most suitable companies following the pre-qualification process.
Companies wishing to participate in the tender process will be scored on their technical and financial ability to comply with IÉ’s requirements for each of their selected lots.

This competition is a 2 stage process being conducted under the negotiated procedure.
Stage 1: To be considered for inclusion to the shortlist of companies who will be issued with ITT documentation, you are required to include all relevant information required as part of this notice. Companies will be measured and scored in line with the advertised selection criteria.
Stage 2: A shortlist of companies will be provided with ITT documentation.
