7351 - Long Term Contract for the Supply of Hardwood Timber Railway Sleepers & Bearers
The RFT has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.
This is a call to competition by Irish Rail for the supply and delivery of hardwood timber sleepers and bearers for delivery to Portlaoise Sleeper Factory, Co. Laois on an ad-hoc basis.
This will be a three year fixed price contract.
A copy of the Specification is attached to this notice along with a Pre- Qualification Questionnaire that must be completed and uploaded onto eTenders by the stated closing date .
To note re selection criteria as detailed in the PQQ:
- A minimum annual turnover of €400,000 per annum for the last three audited financial year ends
- All timber supplied must be from FSC certified sources, and the applicant must provide chain of custody certification with their PQQ submission.
- Applicant must have the capacity to carry out drilling of hardwood sleepers and evidence of this must be provided with their PQQ submission.
- At least 3 examples of relevant current contracts, or completed contracts undertaken in the previous 5 years, that demonstrate experience in regard to supplying new hardwood timber railway sleepers which meet the current Irish Rail or Network Rail specifications.
- An overview of the company resources to include staff, plant & equipment utilised in the delivery of these contracts
- Quality Control System to be certified to a recognised standard such as ISO 9001 or equivilant.
- Applicants are required to demonstrate that their internal processes and procedures meet with industry norms covering: Production Management and Technical Control.
- Applicants are required to provide details of their externally audited environmental policy.
