The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the services as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT, “Requirements and Specifications” (the “Services”). The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs is the Contracting Authority for this public procurement competition (“the Contracting Authority”.
Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures: The National Policy Framework for Children and Young People 2014 – 2020 identifies Prevention and Early Intervention as a key transformational goal for children’s services. The specific emphasis on this theme builds on the considerable research evidence, expertise and experience in a range of areas working with children and young people.
The Department of children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) has developed the Quality and Capacity Building Initiative (QCBI). The initiative aims to take a coordinated approach to enhance capacity, knowledge and quality in prevention and early intervention for children, young people and their families.
QCBI aims to ensure that what works effectively in prevention and early intervention to support the wellbeing of children, young people and their families is harnessed and applied across the relevant services and supports.
