Re: RFT 146470 Request for tender for the Construction of 12 Housing Units including all associated siteworks at Bun Daire Kinnegad on behalf of Westmeath County Council.
Dear Sirs,
You are hereby invited to submit a bona fide tender for building works at Bun Daire, Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath. A soft copy of your tender should be submitted online through the e-tenders website on or before 16:00 on Tuesday 2nd April 2019. Tenders received after this date will not be considered. Contractors should note that the contract period is 12-16 months with an additional 25 days programme contingency and works should commence on site immediately following the award of the contract (assume May/June 2019 and work should be fully complete on or before end of August/September 2020). Each tender submission must submit an outline programme assuming a commencement date of May/June.
A site visit will be facilitated on the morning of the 14th and 15th of March from 9am until 11am. All contractors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the proposed site.
Please note that a consultant archaeologist shall be appointed by the client as part of this contract and he/she will be required to supervise excavation works. The contractor shall facilitate access to the site accordingly.
The following is enclosed and forms part of the tender package:
1. Instructions to Tenderer's including the Preliminary Safety & Health Plan and Suitability Assessment Questionnaire.
2. Appendix A: The works requirements; including all drawings, specifications and schedules prepared by the Design Team comprising of the Architect, Civil/Structural Engineers and M&E Consultant. Details are set out in the schedule attached to the Form of Tender.
3. Appendix B: Form of Tender, Appendix X- Materials and Equipment List, Schedules Part 1 & 2.
4. Appendix C: Pricing Document
Tenderer's must submit the following information with their tender:
A. Completed Volume B: The completed Form of Tender and Appendix X-Materials and Equipment List
B. Completed Volume C: Full & Detailed breakdown of the tender price including elemental breakdown for mechanical and electrical services.
C. The Suitability Assessment Questionnaire, including supporting documents for the tenderer and any specialists.
D. Outline programme
Contractors must complete the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire and accompanying appendices and return with their tender price. Westmeath County Council will establish an independent assessment board for this tender evaluation. This board will be tasked with assessing all submissions by tenderers. Contractors that fail to achieve the pass mark as set out in the suitability assessment form will be eliminated from this tender competition.
Please note that the Materials and equipment (Appendix X) list must be fully completed. This will be discussed and agreed at the pre-contract meeting.
