Stage 1 - Pre-Qualification and Selection of Candidates

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites suitably qualified companies to participate in a tender process for the provision of Fibre Optic and Copper Cable Maintenance Support:

Scope of Works:

The Signaling Electrical and Telecoms Department (SET) of Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) wish to enter into a 4 year agreement with a specialist company [Single Contractor] to provide Maintenance and Installation Support for the following services:

·         Fibre Maintenance Team

·         Fibre Test Team

·         Fibre Cabling and Ducting Team

·         Copper Cable Maintenance Team.

·         Copper Cable Test Team.

·         Copper Cabling and Ducting Team

 

All services shall be available on a 24 hour, 7 day week basis to assist with rectifying faults on the Trackside Fibre Optic and Copper Cable Networks covering the entire Rail Network of Iarnród Éireann.

 

The Successful Contractor will be expected to provide an “ On Call “ Service to the Client. Details of the “On Call “arrangements must be submitted and will be evaluated.

 

Contractor to include detail of On Call Service , providing 24/7 365 Days of the Year. There will be a Monthly Review of the On Call Service and it will be reviewed Annually for Operational and Commercial Compliance.

 

IÉ’s full requirements are contained within a technical specification which will be issued to a shortlist of the most suitable companies following the pre-qualification process

Companies wishing to participate in the tender process will be scored on their technical and financial ability to comply with IÉ’s requirements.

This competition is a 2 stage process being conducted under the negotiated procedure.

Stage 1: To be considered for inclusion to the shortlist of companies who will be issued with ITT documentation, you are required to include all relevant information required as part of this notice. Companies will be measured and scored in line with the advertised selection criteria. 

 Stage 2: A shortlist of companies will be provided with ITT documentation.
