The competition, under the Competitive Procedure with Negotiation, relates to the following requirement:

 

 

 

Mary Immaculate College wish to enter into a contract for the provision of Insurer – Underwriting Services with a legally constituted, suitably qualified and established provider for several insurance coverages.

 

 

 

The insurance coverages include:

 

 

 

  • Property Damage & Business Interruption
  • Employers & Public/Products Liability
  • Professional Indemnity

 

 

 

The combined property values are in excess of €180 Million.

 

 

Please note that the combined estimated annual value of the contract no greater than €250,000.

 

 

 

 

Insurance Coverage Descriptions

 

 

 

Property Damage & Business Interruption

 

Material Damage All Risks, including theft, money, subsidence, computers (if applicable) and terrorism (if applicable) in respect of buildings and contents, as specified to Insurers.

 

 

 

Employers Liability & Public/Products Liability

 

Employers Liability - Indemnity against the Insured’s legal liability to pay damages, including legal costs and expenses, as a result of accidental bodily injury or disease sustained by an employee of the Insured arising out of or in connection with the business of the Insured during the period of insurance.

 

 

 

Public/Products Liability - Indemnity against the Insured’s legal liability to pay damages, including legal costs and expenses, as a result of accidental bodily injury and/or property damage to third parties arising in consequence with the business of the Insured, including arising out of any defect in respect of products sold or supplied during the period of insurance.

 

 

 

Professional Indemnity

 

Indemnity against the legal liability of the Insured to pay damages, legal costs (including defence costs) and expenses as a result of claims first made and notified to the Insurer during the policy period for any actual or alleged breach of professional duty arising out of any act, neglect, error or omission committed in the course of the business, as detailed in the policy document.  Including any bodily injury, mental injury, illness, disease or death caused by a negligent act, error or omission committed by the Insured in or about the conduct of the Insured’s occupation or business.

 

 

 

 

 

Period of Contract: The proposed contract will be for an initial period of 24 months from 1st April 2019. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the contact for a further two periods of twelve months to a total of 4 years.
