EMS031C - Request for Tenders for the provision of facilities necessary for the storage of Intervention Products – Agricultural products (Dairy)
The Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the Services as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Services”).
In summary, the Services comprise: ()the provision of all facilities necessary for the storage of existing Intervention products, namely Ambient / Dry Storage for Goods (room temperature) – Agricultural Products (Dairy Products), including the provision of suitable storage facilities, computerised stock recording, weighing facilities, transport, production of labels and labelling facilities, dehumidifiers, logistical planning, staffing and any other services as deemed necessary.
The current intervention product (Skim Milk Product) has been in intervention storage since 2009 on foot of Commission Regulation (EU) 1272/2009 and 2016/1240. Any Public intervention process in existence may cease when the market price for the Agricultural Product(s) rises above the intervention trigger price and the Contracting Authority has no control over when this might happen.
The services required is for the storage of 35,075 tonnes of Intervention Skim Milk Powder (SMP)
Note: One Metric Tonne of SMP equals pay load of one SMP pallet.
