The Revenue Commissioners (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the services as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Services”).
The overall requirement is for the provision of transportation and destruction/disposal of seized/detained and other goods, as well as provision of two general operatives to work in the State Warehouse, one of whom will act in a supervisory role, under Revenue supervision. Objectives of the contract (in no particular order) are to:
§ enable Revenue to maximise staff time for their core activities;
§ support Revenue’s front-line staff in the exercise of their profession through the provision of effective support services;
§ incrementally reduce the impact on the environment of Revenue’s activities;
§ maximise cost effectiveness in the haulage, storage and destruction/disposal of seized/detained and other goods;
§ facilitate implementation of Revenue’s policy on early destruction/disposal of seized/detained and other goods;
§ maximise any benefits for Revenue from the destruction/disposal of seized/detained and other goods;
§ minimise the Health & Safety risks to Revenue’s staff involved in the collection, storage and destruction/disposal of seized/detained and other goods.
