7004 - Train Wash Maintenance
Call for Competition – Provision of Trainwash Maintenance Services [7004]
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) have a requirement for a suitably qualified company to provide preventative and correcting maintenance on its train wash equipment nationwide.
At present, IÉ have 7 operational train washes located in Dublin (Fairview DART Depot, Inchicore Railway Works and Connolly Station), Portlaoise Traincare Depot, Drogheda Railcar Depot and Limerick.
The train wash equipment range in age, original equipment manufacturer, condition and operation.
The contract will involve the undertaking of preventative maintenance exams at prescribed intervals, the on-call provision of break/fix services outside of the preventative maintenance cycle, modification and improvement projects identified as improving the operational efficiency of the equipment and the provision of technical support to depot management staff.
The contract will run for an initial period of 3 years however IÉ will have an option to extend the services by a further 2 years subject to market conditions and contract performance.
