CCC17 (39) - Request for Tenders for Completion of a Condition Survey of Clare County Council's Housing Stock

In summary, the Services comprise: Request for Tenders for the provision of Building & Quantity Surveying Consultancy Service for Completion of a Condition Survey of Clare County Council’s Housing Stock, Schedule of Works and Associated Cost Plan and Capital Expenditure Proposal for a Multi-Annual Planned Maintenance Programme. Clare County Council is a Housing Authority under the Housing Acts, 1966-2014. As a Housing Authority the Council provides Housing Services under the provisions of the Housing Legislation. As part of this function the Council have constructed or acquired a substantial housing stock of 2,468 units including traveller accommodation units ranging in age of construction from 1930 to 2012. This represents a significant investment and the Council is anxious to ensure that this housing stock is appropriately maintained to optimise the use and to protect the investment already made. A summary of the quantity of social housing stock owned and maintained by Clare County Council, by Housing Maintenance Area, is shown in the table below and a map shown the distribution of housing stock across the county is shown in Appendix 1D.
