PLI102F - Multi Party Framework Agreement for the Provision of Legal Services to the Medical Council

The Medical Council (Contracting Authority) regulates medical doctors in the Republic of Ireland. The Council's purpose is to protect the public by promoting and better ensuring high standards of professional conduct and professional education, training and competence among doctors.

The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a multi-supplier framework agreement for the provision of legal services in two lots:

Lot 1: Regulatory Legal Advice and Representation Services

Lot 2: Corporate Legal Services

Applicants may apply for one or both lots however separate PQQs must be submitted for each Lot.

A framework agreement constitutes a means of establishing overall terms and conditions in accordance with which, for a specified duration, individual contracts may be awarded. 

The services covered by the framework agreement are legal services within the meaning of Annex XIV of Directive 2014/24/EU. The Contracting Authority is subject only to the rules in Part 3 Chapter 1 of the European Union (Award of Public Authority Contracts) Regulations 2016 (SI 284/2016) in relation to this competition. The Contracting Authority is following a bespoke negotiated procedure in relation to this competition
