UHG Emergency Department Block - Procurement of a Fire Consultant Design Service for the design of a new Emergency Department, Women's & Children's Development Block, University Hospital Galway

This tender is to allow the appointment of Fire Consultancy Design Service to complete the design and delivery of a new seven-storey (7) building with rooftop plantroom on the site of University Hospital Galway (UHG) which is a busy acute hospital campus. The project will accommodate the new Emergency Dept for the hospital (2 floors) and Women's and Childrens Service (5 floors). It is envisaged that the project will be completed in phases. The first phase will include the entire building main structure, enclosure and all external services, full completion of the Emergency Department and all related plant and engineering services, the rooftop plant room intended to serve the entire building, provision shall be made on all floors for vertical service routes to the Emergency department and intermediate floors, external service routes and all ancillary necessary works. The building will be linked to the existing hospital on all floors, interconnection and alteration works will be required in the existing Emergency Department. The Design Team shall ensure that the project delivery methodologies are planned and developed to provide the desired project outcomes and ongoing continuity of operational hospital activity over the full duration of the project
