Forensic Science Lab Electrical - Forensic Science Laboratory at Backweston

Construction of a new Forensic Science Laboratory, which is to be a mainly two-storey building of approx. 9,550 sq m internal floor area, including laboratories, offices and ancillary accommodation, some on a third floor, with a single storey utilities and storage building of 485 sq m. The external finishes of this building will be coloured render, metal framed windows and metal roof cladding. Site development works will include on site foul drainage connecting to the existing Campus foul drainage system. The surface water drainage system will connect to the existing attenuation system with an additional attenuation pond of sufficient size to cater for the proposed development and for future development on the Campus site. Site development works will also include landscaped forecourts, earth mounding, planted woodland, staff amenity areas, an internal site security fence and approximately 260 car parking spaces.
