LEE215C - Request for Tenders dated 24/03/2017 for the Supply of Laboratory Equipment for the Physics and Bernal Institute, of the University of Limerick
The Education Procurement Service (EPS) on behalf of University of Limerick (the “Contracting Authorities”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this request for tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”) for the supply of the goods as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Goods”).
University of Limerick - As part of the University of Limerick’s Bernal Project, which is focused on generating real impact for Ireland in the strategic areas of Pharmaceutical Science & Engineering, Modern Materials, Biomedical Materials and Engineering, Energy and Sustainable Environment, the University has acquired a top-of-the range transmission electron microscope (TEM). This will enable much required investigations on the atomic scale to be carried out on materials which are the major players in these areas. A recent Infrastructure award now enables the addition of capacities to this TEM, which will make its performance outstanding and unique, exhibited only by a handful of TEMs worldwide.
