SVUH/PR/17002 - Pharmacy and Carpark Works at St. Vincent's University Hospital

The Pharmacy The proposed development will consist of the construction of a new pharmacy facility ancillary to the principal hospital use on the roof level of the existing multi storey Main Ward Block in the form of a new 2 and 3 storey structure. The works include the provision of a Pharmacy Automated Dispensing system within the New Pharmacy Building. The installation of a New Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) within the New Pharmacy Building. The ACU is approximately 210sq.m and will provide clean room facilities capable of operating to Grade B. The ACU comprises, Prep Room, Compounding Room, 2 x Changing Rooms, Aseptics Office, Aseptics Stock / Store and Aseptics Check Release. This fit out works will include all Mechanical and Electrical Works. The Carpark The multi storey car park expansion works involve a horizontal and vertical extension to the existing facility, located on the north end of the St. Vincent’s University Hospital campus. The horizontal extension will extend four storeys above ground level and will be located on the western side of the existing car park. It will be constructed on the existing ground level and will require new foundations to support the building frame. The vertical extension will extend up to two storeys above the existing car park and will be supported on the existing columns and foundations.
