NCTR 1613 - RFT for the establishment of a multi supplier framework agreement for the provision of design, development, implementation and support of software applications services to DIT

DIT recognises the strategic importance of the need for the implementation of an effective Digital Campus, together with a transformation in learning that can leverage its capabilities. ICT Services is part of a newly formed Digital Campus and Learning Transformation Directorate. ICT related activities are subject to a formal governance framework under the direction of the Institute Senior Leadership Team. This facilitates the identification of initiatives capable of contributing to the institution's goals. Following a structured assessment process, programmes of work and budgets are approved and their implementation overseen to ensure that the proposed benefits are realised. Current applications, some cloud based, address the management and administration of functional areas such as finance, payroll and student. Solution support is also being considered in support of areas such as research activity, facilities management and reporting. The need to address the requirement for extensive data integration services within the overall solutions ecosystem is also recognised. The institute's transformation agenda is reliant upon digital based solutions. Accordingly, an ambitious work programme to realise the potential of the solutions and data landscape has been identified for delivery in the years ahead. To assist DIT in achieving its objectives, the DIT is seeking the services of economic operators who specialise in the provision of software related services.
