PLI077C - Request for Tenders for the Provision and Administration of a Mortgage Protection Insurance (MPI) Scheme (Providing Death & Disability Benefits for Local Authority Borrowers).
The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform is issuing this request for tenders as a central purchasing body for use by the Framework Clients. The Office of Government Procurement is an office within the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform tasked with sourcing goods and services on behalf of the public service. References to the Contracting Authority will be deemed to include the OGP.
The Contracting Authority invites tenders from economic operators for the award of a single supplier framework contract for the provision of the services as described in Appendix 1 to this RFT.
In summary, the Services comprise:
(i) A fully underwritten mortgage protection insurance scheme for persons who avail of house purchase loan finance from local authorities and to cover the rental equity portion of Shared Ownership Schemes, and;
(ii) Oversight, administration and management of the scheme to include;
Premium collections and management
Claims management
Liaison with Local Authorities on all matters as they relate to operation and administration of the scheme
