6502 - Supply of Secondary Suspension Components
This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of the supply of air bags and air bag assemblies as part of the secondary suspension systems on IE’s rail fleet (the “Contract”). The air bags and assemblies to which this PQQ and resulting tender refer are fitted to vehicles in IE’s rail fleet and include Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Tokyu Car, CAF and Linke Hofman Busch.
As a result of this PQQ Iarnród Éireann intend to invite tenders for the supply of air bags and air bag assemblies. The successful Tenderer will be required to provide a comprehensive warranty and warranty support as agreed by contract.
Throughout this PQQ ‘air bag assemblies’ will refer to the complete secondary suspension installation, consisting of the air bag bellows and the emergency/auxiliary spring fully assembled and supplied in a ready to fit condition. Where ‘air bags’ are referred to it will be in conjunction with the rubber air bag bellows component which when supplied can be fitted into an assembly by IE.
