LEE094C - Two Quadrupole ICPMS instruments and aJet interface (3 Lots) for UCD School of Earth Sciences

The RFT has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

Dear Supplier,

The Earth Institute is a multidisciplinary research and education centre that aims to contribute to sustainable solutions for many of the pressing Earth-related problems affecting societies now and in the near future. Situated on the newly developed 4th floor of UCDs O’Brien Science centre, the largest science hub in Ireland.

The Institute brings together the expertise and perspectives of over 200 researchers (including around 80 principal investigators) working across connected earth and environmental research areas, from Crops for the Future, Climate, Energy & Resources, Green Technology, Built Environment and Water Ecology & Evolution and Natural Hazards & Risk. Our members are engaged with stakeholders and partners in all levels of society; public, industry, local and national government, national agencies and the education sector.

Proposals are sought for the supply and installation of: two quadrupole ICPMS instruments and Jet Interface. Supplier can propose solution to one or more lots.

Lot 1, a Quadrupole ICPMS to be used primarily for solution work;

Lot 2, a Quadrupole ICPMS to be used in laser ablation mode

Lot 3, an essential upgrade for the existing Neptune system including installation of a Jet interface.

All three lots will be installed at the National Centre for Isotope Geochemistry, UCD School of Earth Sciences, University College Dublin.  The intention is that Lot 2 will be coupled (a) with an excimer laser-ablation system and (b) with a Neptune MC-ICPMS for simultaneous analysis of elemental concentrations and isotope ratios.

Suppliers are requested to set out details of specifications and performance and to provide details of “Service and Training”, “Experience” and “Lead time” in the sections headed “Technical Merit (Equipment Specifications)” for Lots 1 – 3.

Kind Regards,

Neil McCarthy
