DESTEAM201606 - Appointment of multi-disciplinary design team

Waterford Institute of Technology is engaging in a competitive tendering process for the appointment of an architect-led multi-disciplinary design team for the extension of our ArcLabs Enterprise building on our West Campus. The design team will comprise of all qualified personnel required to provide a full range of services for a project of this nature, including but not limited to: • Architect • M&E Consultant • Civil and Structural • Quantity Surveyor • Fire consultant • Project Supervisor for Design Process (PSDP) • Design Certifier • Assigned Certifier It is proposed to extend the current ArcLabs Enterprise building in an architecturally sympathetic manner to provide in the region of 1150 sqm to accommodate a further 120 staff in an office type environment. The concept is that the building will be over 3 floors embracing the most sustainable and energy efficient design currently available. The existing building will need minor modification and relocation of some facilities to accommodate the extension.
