3402 - Provision of a Patient Level Costing System to Include Knowledge Transfer

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has identified a requirement for a Patient Level Costing (PLC) system (s) to provide an accounting methodology that drives costs from identified resources across a number of departments in up to 20 (twenty) acute hospitals in Ireland. This system will be implemented in a phased manner through up to 12 (twelve) installations. A strong emphasis of the support services will be on the knowledge transfer required for the processing of the data through the procured system. PLC system will be flexible in adapting to pre-existing evolving hospital data feeder systems and have the capacity to capture relevant data for all patients as these data feeder systems evolve. There will be a requirement to interface with existing hospital systems such as the Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and Hospital Inpatient Enquiry System (HIPE).
