Design and Delivery of Entrepreneurs for Environment Training course for development of new businesses and expansion of existing businesses. See attached specification for full details. This tender is being posted in support of an application for grant support under the Rural Development Programme and is subject to funding being secured. The aim of the training is to assist the business and farming sector of County Kildare, to diversify into new areas of business and provide them with the tools they require in order to plan and implement identified pilot projects and initiatives. Business types could include; • Renewable energy equipment manufacture • Innovative professional service based businesses • Waste processing businesses. • Renewable fuel supply contractors Other environmentally friendly business types. The programme will focus on identifying gaps in the market place in county Kildare, capitalising on our natural resources and skills base and in the researching and identification of viable business opportunities across the county. Minimum Criteria 1. Tendering part must be in possession of a current valid tax clearance certificate. 2. Must have professional indemnity insurance in place and provide proof of same. 3. Have previous experience of delivery of training courses in the environmental sector. 4. A good working knowledge of the operating rules of the RDP programme2007-2013 The programme outcomes will focus on: • Identifying business opportunities in the ‘green’ sector in County Kildare namely renewable energy, energy conservation and waste recycling and waste processing areas. • Recruitment and screening of participants to ensure the highest possible success rate and value for money for Kildare LEADER Partnership investment in this initiative. • Understanding of the essential elements involved in starting an environmental/green business • Evaluation of the potential business idea thereby ensuring the establishment
